Clicking on the user icon does nothing for me from the lock screen.Click on the user icon. If there is more than one user, it will expand and show the others.
Unfortunately, pressing ESC does not work for me either. This annoys me greatly. For some reason Apple thought it'd be okay to hide all the other users on the lock screen. When on the lock screen, you can press ESC to have it bring back the user list. You cannot type the first letter anymore either, you have to use arrow keys.
Just making the experience worse for users for no benefit.
That is exactly how mine is set, but still only see the user that locked the machine or that was logged in when the computer went to sleep.Don't click on it. That selects it. Hover over it to expand the choices.
But since you say that doesn't work (neither does ESC), I suspect you need to check this setting.

This is what I encounter after update to the latest update. All along I put to sleep mode when wake up just press enter. After today updated the latest 26.01 , I need to key in password to access after wakeup but I noticed if I choose to sleep mode go click that sleep option under the Apple icon at the left corner where by you also can shut down. I noticed no need to key in password when wake up the imaC.Updating to 26.0.1 did not fix it either. Here is a picture of the lock screen. View attachment 2561267
