Has anyone else found that Lion has killed their custom resolution? I need to output 1280X720 to my Pioneer Kuro (res 1024x768 and rectangular pixels)

All worked fine in SL but not in Lion. I use Switchres x

Any help/commiserations most welcome!

DisplayConfigX

Any luck with this? Any suggestions on how to get a custom resolution to survive an upgrade from SL to Lion? Perhaps there is a file that I can back up?

I have a custom resolution set by DisplayConfigX. If I lose my resolution, I cannot even run DisplayConfigX again since it is PowerPC only.

I fixed it. I guess it was Karma as I needed to actually buy Switchres x. Setting a custom resolution of 59.68hz 1280x720 and engaging sync worked on my Pioneer Kuro 4280

I figured this out. I saved a copy of the folder which contained my custom resolution (/System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-xxxx) and put it back after upgrading to Lion. The only downside is that I can no longer run DisplayConfigX.
