macZOT! is offering SwitchResX at a significant discount today: http://maczot.com/discuss/2011/09/15/switchresx-2/.
Since I am considering running an external display attached to a new 13" MBP, I was wondering if SwitchResX would provide some benefits when I make the move to an external display. (I'm waiting for NEC to release a new 24" display...)
The main feature that might be useful is this one:
"You can disable or deactivate a monitor without having to physically unplug it, allowing you to use a laptop in clamshell mode with external monitor, keyboard and mouse."
I'd appreciate hearing from people who use an external monitor with an MBP.
