My kids 1st Gen watch suffered from the swollen battery issue last week. Went into Apple to see if it qualified for their repair program. They told me they had to send it in to make sure there was no physical tampering and three days later got an email saying that it was repaired and ready to pick up. Went in and my kid got a brand new watch to replace the old one! Still first gen, but that was nice!

That's a normal process were Apple inspects it and ensures there's no other issues noted. And a three day turnaround is really good, compared to some other repairs where it's at least two weeks of a turnaround period. Glad it was repaired successfully.
