Sync 3 CarPlay Rollout Date?

Does anyone know where to find the rollout date for 2016 Sync 3 vehicles for the CarPlay update?

When I Google, all I find are articles from January stating that it is happening "later this year" and that the Escape in May (this month) will have CarPlay.

Anyone have any ideas?

its released, you can download the update from the SYNC website , however you may need to swap out the current USB port for Apple CarPlay to work, price range from 60-80USD depending on the type of USB you have on your vehicle
