So I got the iPhone 4 today and synced it with my 3GS data (which was jailbroken) and I have everything back now. Even a custom carrier tag!

You know what else is cool? I have "internet tethering" enabled.

Should I worry and start fresh later or just keep it the way it is?

Well if your internet tethering option is "on" in your settings, I bet AT&T switched your plan to one with tethering. I could be wrong though.

As far as the custom carrier and other mods, you should be fine. Once you do a clean restore, they should disappear.

Thanks for the reply :)

I don't have tethering on, just checked my account online. It's just the $30 grandfathered tethering plan.

I think the tethering option is there because I had it jailbroken and somehow that stayed there. I thought only calendars/photos/contacts/sms were saved in the backup, I guess not.

No problem. There's a grandfathered tethering plan? My unlimited plan for my iPhone 3GS is $30/mo. How did you get unlimited+tethering for $30/mo? Lol I'm jealous!

No, it's just a $30/unlimited plan (grandfathered).

I was tethering on my old 3GS before, so maybe somehow this feature was enabled and when I restored the data to the iphone 4, it kept that switch there?

If you have the 30mo/unlimited, tether away once the jailbreak comes :D

AT&T will not stop you from doing that.
