Sync Address Book and Skype + Skype Questions

Hello.
I have four questions:

1. I would like to know if there is a way to sync Address Book and Skype in some way, and if I can add some sort of button on Address Book )with a plugin that would call that person on Skype.

2. I have a macbook attached to an external and I keep the macbook with its lid closed. Can I still use the microphone or do I need to open the Macbook?

3. How can I improve the quality of Skype's sound to use it like a phone?

4. I am thinking of using Skype like a phone just for my office instead of having to stand up and walk up to the living room. And the Skype charges is not a problem.

As far as improving the sound on Skype, are you using a USB headset? That will give you great sound. I use a Logitech headset with microphone, and it sounds like I'm in the same room with the other person.

I am using built-in Viewsonic 22inLCD sound.

Skype and Address Book are already linked.

In Address Book, click on the word ("work", "home", "mobile" etc.) to the left of the phone number. The bottom two entries are "Dial with Skype" and "Send SMS with Skype".

I somehow got lucky and just magically stumbled across this the day I installed Skype.
