I am buying my new iPhone 3G tomorrow 
and I am now trying to figure out how to sync my calender and contacts between Office Outllook on the PC and my iPhone.
The ActiveSync support is intended for syncing with Exchange server, but I am running Outlook locally, getting mail by IMAP from a mail server.
Funambol seems to be doing what I want, but thru its own portal, so then I have to sync in two steps.
Mobileme costs money and I dont know if it does what I want.
Any hints or solutions?
PS: Or can iTunes simply be used for this??
