Here’s my situation:

Data in Canada is ridiculously expensive. Thus I only have 500mb which is less than ideal. I also only have 16GB of space on my iPhone 5S which is, again, less than ideal. Thus, I have iTunes match so that I can have my entire library, at least while I have WiFi which is most of the time. Sometimes though, like when driving to work, I don’t have WiFi but still want to listen to music over bluetooth in the car. In theory I should be able to sync certain songs to my phone while having the rest fill in by Match when I’m on WiFi, right?

I assume that’s the case but it doesn’t seem to be working. Here’s what I’ve been doing. I turn match off in iTunes, setting the sync to only use a playlist I have created for syncing and hitting sync. That syncs the music I want to my phone and nothing else, good so far. But when I turn match back on, it seems to randomize the songs that are syncing. If I turn my WiFi off I do still have some music on my phone but it isn’t the songs that I told it to sync initially.

Am I missing something or is this just a strange bug that I can’t get around?
