Hi all--

I had an iPhone 3GS hooked up to my win7 machine, and it died yesterday.

I want to port all of my iPhone contacts into my (temporary) Android Phone until the new iPhone comes out.

I can't figure out how to do that.

Ideas?

Thanks!

Don't have outlook. Didn't do any manual syncing. Not on windows address book.

Does anyone know how to extract the contacts from the encrypted backup? I've tried using every tool out there--even the vague python script--with no luck.

The only idea I can think of at this point is to find another iPhone that works, and try to restore it from backup, then sync my contacts with a program, and give that iphone back to whoever lent it to me.

Will that work? Do I have to use a 3GS? Can I use the first model? New model?

If you have your contacts sync to your desktop (whatever win7 uses), you could export the contacts to a google account and that would make them available to your android phone.
Hope that's helpful,
