I have my iTunes library on an external hard drive which is connected via USB to a media serving ( always on ) Mac Mini. My MBA and Pro have their iTunes music folder location set to this external drive and everything works fine.

The problem is that I have added some mp3's to the library via the Mac pro, the files have been transfered to the external drive and show up in the iTunes list if I run iTunes on the Pro, they do not show up on the Mac Mini or MBA versions.I also have a few albums that only show up if using the Mini.

Whats the solution to get the different macs to show the same music and to leave the music files on the external drive.

I'm using latest OS and iTunes version.

Many thanks

All suggestions greatfully accepted

Ensure "copy files to iTunes library" is unchecked in preferences, then use the "add to library" option on each computer. A little tedious, but should work.
