Sync files from work PC iPhone/iPod

I have a iPod Touch 2nd Gen and its paired with my iTunes at home, so is my new iPhone4. When I buy music from iTunes or Amazon at work I connect my iPod to iTunes and sync the new tracks fine. But I cannot drag/drop any new music to my iPhone when connect at work.

Is this a allowed feature of the iPod but not iPhone? :(
