sync from 'my pictures' to ipad2

I sync photos from 'my pictures' via itunes to Ipad2 4.3.3. the photos in 'my pictures' are all positioned the correct way for viewing, however after completing the sync some photos on my Ipad2 are twisted and there is no way to re position them. Any ideas and why doesn't Ipad2 have a facility to re position the photos (clockwise or anti clockwise)?

Try deleting the iPod photo cache folder and then resync
