Sync Game Progress to New iPad

I'm one of the people that bought the "new iPad." I had a first gen iPad which I loved dearly. I have several games that I've invested lots of time into and really don't care to need to rebeat- Peggle, Plants v. Zombies, Flight Control. Is there a way to sync my progress on games to my new iPad?

I did a restore from my old iPad and all my data from all apps were transferred over.

You will need to restore your new iPad from a backup of your old iPad. That backup contains all your game progress and any other app data that you may have created on the old iPad. This will essentially make your new device a clone of the old one.

I don't want half the crap I had on my old one on my new one. Is there a way to only recover certain things?

You can download iFunBox or iExplorer and manually backup the documents folder in those apps. Or you can restore and delete the stuff you don't want.
