I know I can only pass events FROM Google Calendar TO iCal without using other software, this is fine with me.

I am subscribed to my 4 Google Calendars in iCal and they sync fine. I would expect my iCal to then sync with my iPhone so that iCal and iPhone would be mirror images of each other regardless of where I create a new entry.
When I sync via iTunes the status bar says syncing calendars and just churns away all night long. none of my calendars sync. What gives??

Thanks, if I need to clarify anything just let me know.

I deleted all but one calendar then synced. I then added the other calendars one at a time and synced after each new addition. Then I just changed all the colors in Gcal and iCal to match the iPhone. I don't think the iPhone likes to sync to multiple new calendars with a ton of info on each.
