Is it possible to sync a contact list from the iphone onto a computer, or can it only be done the other way around?

After much difficulty, including restoring the iphone and manually eliminating duplications and errors on my PC laptop, I got my contact list perfect on both. Now I want to copy the list to a desktop computer which has data from my old phone (SLVR), incomplete and with duplicates. I tried copying the good wab file to a flash drive, renaming wab old on the desktop, then copying the good one, but the old address book came up again.

Any ideas?

Later....I found the answer...sync contacts and calendar from one computer, music, podcasts etc from the other. To prevent auto sync before unchecking the appropriate options, hold down shift and control. Worked perfectly! I could download from the computer with cable connection and didn't mess up my contacts. Yay!
