Sync iPhone to Mac

I am trying to sync(transfer) all music and pictures onto my Mac laptop. Everytime I start the process it stops and says MAXIMUM SAVE USED, UNABLE TO CONTINUE
All I want to do is get all photos off my iPhone onto my laptop. I tried to only sync photos but that has stopped too.
Help!!
