Sync Keeps Failing

My iPad mini will not update on my iTunes the session keeps failing when trying to restore a backup on the newest version of iTunes. Please help me. I've been trying everything.

are you trying to restore a iOS 7 backup on iOS 8 beta? it won't work.

yes, it worked on my iPhone though when I did a iOS 7 restore to iOS 8.

Unless I am misunderstanding, this isn't true. After I loaded iOS 8 I was able to sync my iOS 7 backup to receive all my settings and apps that I had on iOS 7.

If you are trying to RESTORE your device to DOWNGRADE from iOS 8 to iOS 7 you need to put your device is DFU/Restore mode (youtube it). Then you should be able to sync your iOS firmware without any problems.

Yep I can confirm that as well, be it a few are glitchy like facebook and whatsapp, but the overall backup restored.

I keep getting sync session failed to start have tried reset sync history, and everything. Can someone please help me?
