Sync other emails to .mac mail?

I have hotmail and gmail and have been trying to make an account on Mail but can't seem to make it work.

Anyone know a way how to/tutorial? I'm getting the iPhone soon and would like to set up my Mail to an already existing mail I have (hotmail or gmail)

I'm not sure what you are asking entirely. Do you want to retrieve your gmail and hotmail directly from your mac.com account online?

I will outline directions to this below.

1. log into mac.com
2. select mail
3. click on preferences (which is just above the search box)
4. click other
5. beside external account click "check mail from an external POP account"
6. enter the login and server information of your other account
7. click save

I forgot to note that your other accounts (hotmail, gmail, and others) must support POP retrieval.
