Sync photos to ipad

The wife and I just bought our 1st ever Mac (15" MacBook Pro) and have a query.

We have two accounts set up on the Mac, one for me and the other for her

All of the photos we have are stored in iphoto in her account. I would like to sync my iPad to her photo album via my account, but the Mac tells me I do not have read/write access to do this.

Can anyone assist?
