SYNC PROB with iPhone Pics/Vids

Everytime I sync my iPhone, the same Pics and Vids on my phone are copied to my mac. I want to leave them on my iPhone, so I didn't select to delete them after copy. Now have a S***load of the same Pics/Vids on my mac. Any ideas? Thanks..Art
