We have two macbooks and one desktop windows vista pc in or house- is there any way to keep all of these in sync, automatically if possible?

I think it would be helpful to know exactly what you want to keep in sync.

If its just calenders, contacts, mail etc that you want to keep in sync there are services available such as MobileMe.
