Hi MR,
Here's a dilemma: I have a MacBook (that houses my decade old music library, mostly ripped CDs), an iPhone (that contains some songs imported via the artist fomerly known as iTunes from my MacBook's local library) and an iPad that contains no imported songs.
All three devices are logged into the same Apple ID, and all use Apple Music.
But none sync the library.
Now I'm hoping to make use of creating playlists, sharing them, etc. But I'd prefer not to sync my local library to the cloud (due to metadata fears etc). In an ideal world, I would only sync my iPad and iPhone, and hence add music from AM to eitehr of them and have them synced, create playlists and have thm synced, etc.
Is this possible? Can I switch on "Sync Library" on my iPad and iPhone while leaving it sitched off on my MacBook (and hence avoiding matching my local library with the cloud)?
