I have an iPhone 4 that I sinc with my older Mac Mini, so I have all my music and apps there. Now I just bought a new MacBook Pro and I want to start using it to sync my iPhone. How can I do this without having to lose any data? do I need to make a backup?

How I did it between my Windows PC and my MacBook was to copy the entirety of the iTunes music folder and paste it onto the other machine.

This makes them have the same library ID thing (because you've copied it).
