Does anyone know if iTunes Sync over WIFI is either part of 3.0 or rumoured to be included at 3.0 launch? I have wanted this feature ever since I got my iPhone.

Even if they refuse to do so, a third party developer can always come back and design a Bluetooth adapter that could fool iTunes into thinking the iPhone is connected by USB.

That might be a good work-around. But it wouldn't solve the problem of me forgetting to sync for a couple of days then getting stuck on a bus/train and then finding I don't have the latest podcasts etc. Plus I want to wake up in the morning, reach for my iPhone and find it charged and fully up to date - including apps :D

]HOLY CRAP!! How has no one noticed this yet!!!

Nice call OP!

terrible photochop job, i know... happy april fools!

^ OoOoO

another one of my pet peeves about the iPhone. the 3rd gen and 3.0 are turning out to be really awesome.

Sweet! I take it I need a Mac to achieve that? Not that I don't want one

nope will work in iTunes on Windows. Presumably there will be an iTunes update and Apple will release both Mac OS and Windows versions.

Didn't see that on my iTunes. What version are you using to get this option?

That was well done as I asked that question out of the blue. But seriously thou, anyone know if this feature might be coming?

I was actually going to post a similar question..

Though mine is more along the lines of maybe there is an app that can sync podcasts in the background? (wifi or 3g modes ideally)..

I've been using one app to cover me for the times that i forget to sync podcasts..

Its called RSSPlayer.. now some of my podcast feeds i have to add manually.. but most are found in the search.. and the other bad thing is, you cant just open it and have it start downloading.. you have to goto queue and click sync and the start button..

I want an app that ideally would sync with the itunes version or maybe just download automatically from the net, in its own podcast store like RSSPlayer does (so yeah, if you sync itunes podcasts, they dont match up with RSSPlayer, as they are stored in diff. places)..

But this doesnt solve the issues of music sync.. so hopefully 3.0 (on windows) will have that too.

Can't you get podcasts over the air using the iTunes music store these days? (I am not in a service area right now to check)
