When I add something to notes in either my MBP or iPhone they sync with each other but for some reason it doesn't sync with my iPad 4 And if I use notes on my iPad 4 it won't sync to anything either. Any ideas everything else syncs except notes.

Is everything on iOS 9 and El Capitan? If some of your devices have been updated to the new notes format in iOS 9 and El Capitan, then those won't sync with devices on older operating systems.
Yes its all up to date. I did think it may be cos the iOS 9 was beta versions I had but my iPhone syncs ok .
