Synced my Ipad and my Pictures disappeared

Hi

Computer Windows 7
Ipad 1 16gb wifi/3g

About 2 hours ago I synced my Ipad and now my pictures have disappeared.The only thing I did different was click import pictures after plugin my cable in.

At first I noticed some pictures were missing then after I clicked restore in the picture window to a few days ago, everything was gone. Only the new pictures i-tunes imported show on my ipad. But in I-tunes it says (Zero pictures) for my folders.

I have itunes set to backup the computer instead of the cloud,I checked the recycled bin and nothing's there:confused:

Where would my pictures disappeared to?
