When I sync photos and decide I don't want them I untick sync photos and say remove from phone but they don't delete

Synced Photos not deleting

The Photo syncing process with my new iPhone has been very painful. Very buggy. I ended up restoring my phone and setting up as new. That fixed it. There must have been some corruption somewhere that was causing the process to fail.
