iPod touch synch wipes out my iTouch bookmarks

I synch manually of course, for complete control between the iTouch and Mac and have noticed twice that when I synch, I loose my iTouch book marks and add the book marks from my MAC onto the iTouch!

I want to keep all the bookmarks that I created on the iTouch and add the ones from my Mac.

What if anything I'm I doing wrong?

There've been known syncing issues... try syncing automatically and see if the same thing happens.
