Hi,
I recently acquired mid 2011 27" iMac. I have cloned my data from my 2012 13" MacBook Pro to it (except my photos, since the iMac only has a 1TB internal HDD and my MBP has a 2TB internal HDD - I'll probably move the photos [860 GB and growing] to an external HDD).
I need to sync my data between these 2 Macs and I'm currently considering Chronosync and SyncMate. Chronosync seems to be well regarded by many and seems it would serve me well. The only reason I'm looking at SyncMate is it will also sync a Mac with many other devices, including my android tablet - this Chronosync cannot do. So it would be nice to have one solution for everything, but my priority is a very reliable solution for my 2 Macs.
My main question: Is SynchMate up to the level of ChronoSync for synching my Macs including some possibly more complex synching with external drives for photos (and maybe my Lightroom library file)?
