Synching iTunes and podcasts to new Macbook Pro

Hi all,

So I'm set up with my new macbook, and have shifted all my itunes music over with no real drama. I also re-subscribed to all my podcasts, and am able to add new episodes to my ipod touch. The problem is, the itunes on my new computer doesn't recognize when I've listened to a podcast on my ipod.

My old laptop used to show which ones had been listened to, so I could go ahead and delete them.

is the new itunes signed in for Home Sharing? Under the Advanced menu I think.
