So I am seeking enlightenment on this question.

I have a PB, an iBook, and a mini Ipod.

What is the best way to keep the music libraries synched up between both macs?

I've tried using yousynchronize but I'm afraid to update the master library for fear of messing something up.

Any thoughts?

Spend $8 on PodWorks. It'll download songs from your Pod to iTunes. It has the capability to detect which songs are already in your library and only download the songs which aren't, and keep all the metadata intact.

Obviously this method works best if you keep your entire library on your iPod. Depening on how large your library is it could be a slight hassle transferring songs via your mini but it works pretty well once you get the hang of it.
