iPod Synching photos manually without replacing any

I have my iPod set up to synch automatically with my iMac.

I keep some photos not on my iMac on my Macbook. For the Macbook I have set up the iPod for manual use and I would like to transfer some or all of the photos on my Macbook to the iPod, without altering the photos currently on the iPod.

But when I try to do that I get a message that by syncing photos all existing photos on my iPod will be replaced by the photos on my Macbook.

Is there any way to bring these Macbook photos into the iPod without removing and replacing photos already on the iPod?
