Hi all,

This is a solution that I've been trying to find for the better part of a year. I am always directed to Doug's Applescripts for iTunes, but it doesn't take care of all issues. So here is my question:

Is there an application or way to synchronize (and propogate) all files and metadata between two libraries that are encoded in different codecs?

I have a Mac mini that has lossless iTunes library. I have a Macbook that I would like to have a lossy copy of of that library on.

Ideally, when I add a lossless file to the Mac mini, it would be great to have that be propogated into a lossy copy on my Macbook. If I rate a song on my Macbook as a 5 star, I'd like to see that rating put on the lossless copy on my Mac mini.

I'm guessing that my options are slim re: this functionality - either make a Applescript to do it (which means it might run slow) or start working in XCode to build it!
