Synchronizing Palm categories

I have my Palm T|X set up nicely to categorize my appointments between my school classes, work at Staples, church stuff, and personal memos. Problem is, when synced with iCal and Address Book, none of my categories are imported. Is there a way to fix this? (Don't point me to a semi-solution; I've read it already. Additionally, I've googled it, but none of the articles are of interest...)
