I suspect that this will not be a problem, but would like clarification that there won't be any problems syncing my old iPad information to a new iPad 2. Will the different versions of IOS (4.2 and 4.3) pose problems when restoring to the new device? I'd really rather not have to setup all of my preferences again from scratch. I don't think I've ever dealt with this scenario with my iPhones over the years. Insight will be appreciated, thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem. it works very smooth every iphone update.

Just perform a back up of your old ipad and then when you link up your new ipad 2 itunes should ask you if you want to restore it from a previous backup. Select the most recent ipad back up and bobs your uncle.

So it only restores apps, files, settings etc and not version specific elements of the OS I take it. Great, thanks!
