Syncing Android phone to iTunes?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, and have been trying, in vain, to sync music from my iMac to my Samsung.
Can someone please tell me, step by step, how to do this?

I'm pretty sure iTunes will only sync to iDevices, not Android or any others.

Have you tried using Samsung's Kies software? I just opened it and added a song from my iTunes library. It played on my iMac. I didn't try it on the phone.
