I'm not sure where to post this question as i'm not 100% whether this can be done in the OS, requires a sync program or a third party app, or a script or similar. I am a Mac Pro user

What I want to do:

Every time I save a file containing the phrase "work in progress", anywhere on my Mac, or attached drives, a copy of that file is copied to a webdav/dropbox type folder which automatically uploads it. I don't want to have to click anything, or activate any app to do this, or find the file i've created and drag to the webdav folder, or link a particular folder to the dropbox as I could be working on many different files, in many different folders or drives.

The aim is to have every version of a document uploaded to the cloud, I don't have to remember to put anything on a pen drive, or lose anything due to hard drive problems etc etc

I think I need:

Something running in the background all the time, loading at startup

Dropbox (I have this and use with Macdropany etc )

If somebody could point me in the direction of the best solution that would be much appreciated whether its app or programming based, thankyou
