Yesterday, I've been trying to sync an Apple Music playlist to my new Watch Series 2.
It's been quite a challenge and I was wondering if anybody has noticed the same issue?

I think I did all the necessary steps:
- Download the playlist on your iPhone
- Make sure the Watch is charging
- Let it sync

A playlist of 25 songs took almost an hour to sync and in the end, the result was it hadn't been synced at all. I've tried to restart the Watch, the iPhone, but all of this didn't help.
This morning, all of a sudden, I've noticed the playlist had been synced (I charged my Watch for a moment).

What could 've been the issue?

I read in a few reviews on the AW Series 2 that Apple is aware of the Music syncing issues and is working on fixes. Those are the proper steps you outlined. Apple needs to address this and speed up the syncing process greatly. Hopefully the next update will but we'll see

Let's hope so, because this process really sucks.

I've finally found a 'solution'.
After you've downloaded the entire playlist on your iPhone, you need to play all of these songs (not entirely) on your iPhone, before they can be synced entirely with the Watch.
Complex process.
