When using a PC I would always use an application called "SyncBack." This way I could sync certain files and directories to my thumb drive, either with by backup or synchronization. Can anybody recommend a syncing application for the Mac?

I use Synchronize! Pro X. Others prefer ChronoSync. Many Mac users swear by Carbon Copy Cloner.

There are many more synchronization/backup utilities for MacOS X. You will find them listed here and there.

I tried ChronoSync and I could only sync one directory, not certain subdirectories and files. Would I have to make a separate "sync" for each subdirectory within my "Documents" folder that I wish to sync to my iDisk or thumbdrive?
