Syncing apps from iPad to iPhone

I currently have an iPad, and I have an iPhone on the way. There are some apps that I have already that I will want on my iPhone, but not nearly all of them. Is it going to be difficult to put my desired apps and music, on the iPhone without syncing them all.

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I'm not positive.

Syncing with itunes: just connect your iphone and pick and choose what you want from your library.

Alternatively, goto the app/itunes stores on your iphone and redownload what you want on the phone
