Syncing apps from ipod to iphone.

Hi guys im sure this is pretty simple i have just got an iphone after and i have had an ipod touch for a while. i have plugged it in and its only synced some of my apps, why is this and is there a way to get all the apps from my ipod to my iphone, there both on the same itunes with the same email address.
