Syncing Contacts from iPhone?

Hello all,

For those that have an AVP headset, did your contacts automatically sync once you logged in with your Apple ID? Mine have not. If I get a text it will show up on the AVP, but just as the phone number and not the person. Is there a way to fix/correct this? Is this normal behavior?

Mine synced right up, and I get messages that identify who the sender is. It’s weird that there is no actual contacts app. I would like to be able to look up a contact and call them and have it automatically connect to my iPhone to make the call.

Perhaps it will come in a future update.

You can check by asking Siri to pull up a specific contact. It will bring up their contact “card”, just like in the Contact app. Not sure why they didn’t include the official Contact app in vision OS?

Which part of the settings? I have iCloud turned on.

Just to be technical, as it may matter to a few, it does not sync from your iPhone. It syncs your contacts from iCloud. Some folks are stuck trying to sync photos and music from their macs, and currently, the AVP does not support doing that directly from other devices, and only syncs data down from iCloud.

Plug it in and leave it overnight. When I get a new device it sometimes doesn’t pull stuff like that until I do this. I don’t really get how contacts could be enough of a stressor to need to wait to download, but it happens…

Which part of the settings? I have iCloud turned on.

Under iCloud, you have to go to the bottom and select everything, contacts, notes, cal, messages, etc. It is all set to not sync for some reason.
