OK, I have a tricky question and looking for a confident answer so I
do not uncan fresh worms....
Today I have a PC running Outlook, an iPhone and an iPad. Soon to
add a Macbook.
Source of truth for Contacts has ALWAYS been Outlook. I sync once a
month with iPad, then iPhone using iTunes. Never an issue. Makes all
the contacts on all three devices identical. Deletes, changes, adds,
etc.
So far so good.
I have never used the cloud electively. In other words, not where I
had a choice not to. So no iCloud storage for Apple even though I
have an account.
I "just" tried syncing the stocks app between iPad and iPhone and it
works a charm! So, considering syncing a few other things between
devices. Contacts next on the list.
I trust if I sync Contacts on the iPhone and iPad and soon to be
Macbook, it will work just like the Stocks app and make me smile.
BUT, if that is functional, can I ALSO use iTunes between PC and
iPhone to keep all 4 Contacts in sync? Or would syncing through the
iCloud somehow make my customary iTunes sync between PC and iPhone
different than it has been?
Hope that is all understandable. Would be so nice to have it down to
only one manual action.
