Syncing contacts with motorola L7

Okay, so I had the thought today of how it would suck to lose all my phonebook entries if i lost my phone, then i remembered hearing the L7 could be synced with my iMac. When i run iSync everything looks okay, but it doesnt find any of my contacts except for one. I am wondering if maybe it's because I have most of them on the SD card.

Is there some way to get them off of there?
