Syncing contacts with outlook - can someone answer me a quick question...

At the moment my iPhone is full of contacts... and my outlook contact list is empty.

If I choose 'sync contacts with Outlook' in iTunes, will it:

a) copy over all my iPhone contacts TO my outlook list
b) delete all my iPhone contacts to keep it identical to my Outlook contact list

Can someone please help? I don't want to lose everything on my phone.

Instead of choosing to sync in iTunes, if you do not want to merge everything...

On the iPhone:
Go to Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Select your existing exchange email account if you have it set up, if you don't create one with Add Account... and then select it
Turn on Contacts

This will add a separate pane of Exchange only contacts to your topmost contact layer. It will also add a lookup account if your network supports it.

When you are in Contacts you will have the option of which group you wish to view, or all together.

You can use this approach to keep work contacts apart from your personal contacts. Cheers.
