Syncing Iphone 4 With Itunes

I deleted all photos, albums, etc from my Iphone and attempted to re-sync with iPhoto through iTunes. At the end I received a message on my iPhone that 243 items did not sync and to see iTunes for information on why. I can find nothing on Itumes regarding the failure to sync the items. Anyone have this problem?
