Syncing iPhone on new computer.

I just got a new Mac Mini, switched from a Windows. I plug my iPhone into my new Mac Mini and click sync, expecting it to copy all my apps and settings and backup into my new iTunes but nothing happens. Any idea?

Alternatively, if you take your PC and your iMac to an Apple Store, an Apple Genius can transfer all of your data for you, and help you set up the iPhone.
