Are there settings to make sure when I connect my phone to charge off my Mac that the calender goes from Iphone to Ical or is there a way any new dates/events will add to the other no matter which one I enter them on?
 
Not quite sure what you're asking but the Calendar events should update, even without plugging in the phone.
