I recently got a new Macbook Pro, and I want to sync my iPod Touch with it. I have all the apps, music, and movies moved on to my new computer. I am just scared that if I sync my apps with my new macbook- will it erase all of the saved data from apps and games? If it does is there anyway to get it where I can sync apps with my new mac?

My HDD crashed a week ago and i lost all of my data, luckily there was a way to tranfer from my ipod all my music, vids and apps to my other pc and when i tried to sync it did a backup of my device and nothing more, i noticed that my apps werent organized on my ipod but it didnt change anything on the apps, I transfered my apps using iTunes before syncing.

So your saying don't sync it with my mac, just transfer the purchases then sync it? I don't want to lose that save data on my iPod (like for games and other apps).

Ok Im not sure you are getting what I was asking. I am not scared about losing the apps, I have those backed up to my other computer. I don't want to lose the app's data like a game save (e.g. game center achievements, game saves, etc.). I transferred the purchases, then I went to sync the apps and it came up with a message saying this-
"Are you sure you want to sync apps? All existing apps and their data will be replaced with apps from this iTunes library."

Will it clear out the data from the apps if I sync? This is the concern I have had from the beginning.

What did you do?

Hey I have the exact same problem you did! What exactly did you do to fix it? Thanks!
